A hotel that lives up to its name

Excellent check-in with friendly helpful staff. Very comfortable room. Excellent value breakfast in a good, separate dining room. Maria the cook was friendly and a great cook! Although there was no tea/coffee making in the room, the dining room was open, so no big issue. Antonio and Andrijana from reception were both very welcoming and helpful, including good recommendations for eating. As you will see from Google Maps, the hotel is walking distance to train/bus/ferry and Diocletian's Palace.

Great location, friendly welcoming staff. They were flexible about our schedule which we appreciated. Hosts are knowledgable about the area which was helpful as it was our first visit. Very spacious room, great shower.

Superb staff, very friendly and helpful. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Great location.

Only 2 parking spaces on site though staff are extremely helpful in assisting parking.

Staff are amazing, would definitely return if staying in split again

The staff make the trip worthwhile- may not be the most luxurious property but they make you feel so welcome, to the point where they were genuinely upset that we missed the free breakfast (they cooked fresh eggs and pancakes). Antonio was amazing and helped us with things to do and recommendations. All there is to say is do not hesitate to book, the staff are amazing.

Memorable Vacation Spot

Excellent location. Close to activities, boat tours, palace, the promenade, gelato, night life, etc. It's an easy 7 min. walk to the local coastal waters to swim in the clean, fresh water every morning. If you like to swim or sit on a beach, this is the place. If you run, you'll love the beach run.

Warm welcome in an excellent small family hotel.

Many thanks to Tony, Antonio, Adriana, and the rest of the team at Royal Suites for making our stay in Split so enjoyable. They were so friendly and welcoming, their English was astonishingly good and they always had time for a chat. From the moment we arrived they always were happy to help with suggestions for trips, places to eat and anything else we wanted to know. The rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean. We chose a room with a balcony which was great - somewhere to sit and read or have a drink before going out in the evening. Nice breakfast with cereals, fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes. The breakfast room was open all the time so we could use the kettle and the tea and coffee available there. A real bonus was the fridge in the room which meant we could store drinks and milk for hot drinks. Anything we needed was always quickly provided for us. We were wanting to have a trip into the mountains and this was organized for us with taxi driver Ivan -we loved it, a change from the city, he too spoke very good English and was very informative. Royal Suites are not in a particularly scenic area of Split but this wasn't a problem. They are very convenient for the port with the ferries to the islands, pick up points for bus trips, Diocletian's palace and the old town, the extensive farmers market, small Tomy supermarket, and a pharmacy. It is only a few minutes walk to the beautiful pedestrian area next to the sea, lovely to stroll along in the evening among the palm trees. One restaurant recommendation, Restaurant Lola, nearby, lovely food and staff, we went there a few times. I would recommend the trip to Klis Fort, ferry to the island of Brac (Supetar) and the local ferry to Slatine beach. A fantastic holiday, thank you once again to everyone at Royal Suites!

We liked everything! Like most places in Croatia, the beaches are pebbles so it is a good idea to have some water shoes.

Very good

Great central location with an easy 5 minute walk in to the Old Town. Clean spacious room with a comfortable bed and air con. Really helpful and friendly staff, including at breakfast where eggs were made.to order.

Loud heavy metal bar below the Hotel went on until early hours of the morning on two nights.

Customer service from the bottom of the heart.

This small family run hotel is situated in a perfect location: Just a few minutes walk e.g. to Riva Promenade, Green market, Ferry dock, Diocletian Palace and the interesting narrow lanes of the Old Town. A beach, supermarket and meeting points for trips are in a walking distance, too. Our room was cosy and clean. Effective air condition. Shower worked well. A cute toilet seat for a smaller and bigger bottom, never seen like that before. Our stay was very hospitable experience right from the beginning. The hotel staff person Antonio was very enthusiastic and attentive in every way. He e.g. filled our minibar beforehand according to our wishes without charging any extra for that! He was extremely helpful and gave us plenty of useful tips creating our stay pleasant. He also arranged a very informative taxi driver Ivan getting us from and to airport. Good breakfast, not very wide collection but you could order eggs and pancakes the way you like with the service by two friendly ladies. Do not miss the "Emiliana Gelateria" if you are an icecream lover. If you appreciate a delicious dinner with polite service, choose "Portofino" and do not forget to reserve a table as it is a very popular restaurant. Highly recommended accommodation!

Electricity outlet dividers could be useful by the bed as there where only one plug for a desk lamp.

Pleasant experience from the beginning as one of the staff (Antonio) at the hotel contacted us after we booked to check whether we required any information or had any requests. The hotel is situated in a much better location, less than five minutes walk from the promenade and the Diocletian's Palace. The room/ suite was much bigger and had a walk-in closet and dining table as well. The staff were friendly, courteous and accommodating. Great breakfast was served in the dining room, and you could order your eggs the way you like and even delicious pancakes made freshly in addition to the continental breakfast. Especial thanks to Antonio and Tony for making our stay pleasant and memorable.
